The Most Important Shift To Sell More On Instagram

The biggest shift to have when it comes to selling on Instagram is to move past fear.

🙅🏾‍♀️ Fear of showing up

🙅🏾‍♀️ Fear of asking for the sale

🙅🏾‍♀️ Fear of what other people might think when they see your posts

🙅🏾‍♀️ Fear that no one will engage with you and you’re just shouting into the wind

So how do you actually move past that fear? Ignore it.

First and foremost - people’s opinions don’t pay bills. If you truly have a great product or service, give yourself the opportunity to see things through. Overnight successes are NOT the norm and if you really want a thriving business you have to put in work. This is especially true with Instagram and social media. It’s a marathon. You have to be consistent, you have to let people know things over and over, which brings us to…

The fear of showing up and asking for the sale. To put this simply, if you don’t tell people what you’re offering they will have no idea that there is something for sale. I made this mistake when I first started my business. I felt like if I just gave and gave value people would stumble upon my offers. Never again!

Here’s the thing - even if someone follows you, they are not seeing EVERYTHING you post. This means you don’t have to be afraid to sell, and sell often. There are so many ways to tell people about your product or what you do. But if you don’t ask - you don’t get - bottom line.
